Dear Prospective Boys Team Charity League Member,
Thank you for your interest in joining boys team charity (btc). boys team charity is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their community.
Our Prospective Member drive opens February 29, 2024 and will close on March 19, 2024. To be eligible for membership in the Sonoran Fiesta League (new members only) your home zip code must be 85250, 85253, or 85258. If you do not live in one of the above zip codes but your child goes to school in one of those zip codes, please contact Elizabeth Hanke Smith at HankeSmith@gmail.com to discuss an exception. Please complete the below form if you are interested in joining the btc Sonoran Fiesta League. Please note, there will be no form available if we are outside the Prospective Member Application period. Once we have received this form, your information will be shared with the team working on league membership and you will be contacted by them. In some cases, you may not be contacted for a week or two, so please be patient!
Hours Requirements:
Annual minimum Philanthropy Service Hours requirements for both boys and parent(s):
Grade 7, 8, & 9........................15 hours each*
Grade 10, 11, & 12..................10 hours each*
Annual minimum League Hours requirements for both boys & parent(s): 6 hours minimum each (earned by attending general or grade level meetings as mentioned above)
Volunteer requirements: btc is a volunteer organization that is operated by parent volunteers. Parents are expected to participate as a volunteer in some capacity during your years in btc.
Financial Requirements: Each league has annual membership dues that are used to cover the costs of operating the league. Please contact the VP Membership (contact info will be provided to you at the end of this application) if you need specific league dues information.
Sponsorship: New btc members are sponsored by current btc members. If your son does not have a sponsor, we will work on finding one for him. btc membership is reviewed on an annual basis and new btc members are selected by a random draw.
